Conceived as a Love Poem to my Parents, I am immersing myself in the emotional states I associate with their favorite music. I go back and forth between the languid dances of Veracruz to the seventy’s folk tunes of Jim Croce. On Tuesday, February 28th, I presented the first “nugget” of this vision at MAP Gallery on the first floor of Eastworks. It was part of the love-themed, group exhibit LOVE SHOW sponsored by ECA+.  Also performing live were Tony Silva with Spanish Guitar and Lonnie and Dave Chu, aka Crimson Canary, with love songs from around the world.
Love Poem to my Parents will premiere in its entirety this fall at School for Contemporary Dance and Thought in Northampton. Stay tuned for details.
