I am a dancer and performance artist with over 20 years of experience choreographing odd and diverse events, and most recently Dance Films.

My training includes a strong foundation in ballet and modern dance, Mexican folk dance, and Odissi Classical Indian dance. I moved to the U.S. from Mexico City to study dance and anthropology at Hampshire College, and later received my MFA in performance and choreography at Smith College. I’ve performed with various New York City choreographers, including David Dorfman, Zvi Gotheiner and Yanira Castro. Since 2003, I have made the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts my home, where I collaborate with local artists to create original performance art using the body and its environment as primary elements.

Always inspired by the body and how we move, I have certifications in Yoga, Reiki, Thai Bodywork, Pilates, Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis. Licensed in 2016 to be a Physical Therapist Assistant, I have worked with Physical Therapists in various clinics while teaching movement classes and private sessions using the Gyrotonic Method. My classes welcome anyone interested in creative ways to “be in the body,” from professional dancers and senior citizens, to people with disabilities.
