My training includes a strong foundation in ballet and modern dance, Mexican folk dance, and Odissi Classical Indian dance. I moved to the U.S. from Mexico City to study dance and anthropology at Hampshire College, and later received my MFA in performance and choreography at Smith College. I’ve performed with various New York City choreographers, including David Dorfman, Zvi Gotheiner and Yanira Castro. Since 2003, I have made the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts my home, where I collaborate with local artists in the revitalization of small town culture.

Always inspired by the body and how we move, I have certifications in yoga, Reiki, Thai Bodywork, Pilates, Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis. Licensed in 2016 to be a Physical Therapist Assistant, I work with Physical Therapists in various clinics while continuing to teach movement classes in the Pioneer Valley. They are open to anyone interested in creative ways to “be in the body,” from professional dancers and senior citizens, to people with disabilities.
